Mental Health Training

Andrey Rylkov Foundation for Health and Social justice, based in Moscow, Russia offer harm reduction services to people who use drugs. Mainline trains the Andrey Rylkov staff to improve their knowledge and skills of mental health issues, rapid screening for mental health issues, as well as low threshold, community-based interventions (based upon cognitive behavioural therapy) that can be applied by outreach workers before, during and after any referral process.

We do this in three steps:

• a needs assessment to find out the team's current knowledge of mental health
• a combined training and study visit to the Netherlands
• a follow-up visit to Moscow to train and coach the team during daily work
