In doing so, Mainline hopes to have contributed to the introduction of harm reduction in Zambia.  

The assignment

In the past four months, Mainline has:

• estimated the number of people who inject drugs in the cities of Kabwe, Kitwe and Solwezi
• mapped the existing harm reduction and HIV services available to people who inject drugs
• designed guidelines to facilitate the introduction of harm reduction services

The results

The results of the size estimate and the service mapping are summerised in a Factsheet. The service guideline is available upon request.
